some pictures of Jayson!

I thought it was about time for some updated photos of Jayson. The last ones I put on here were from over a year ago!

While I was folding laundry, Jayson quietly climbed on the couch and was pretending to type on Daddy's computer. He even settled himself in with his little red pillow I made for him (he carries that thing everywhere!)

Here he is at In-N-Out enjoying his french fries and ketchup just before we headed over to the park for some much needed play time!

Look at our little pilot =) This was at the park and Grandpa just couldn't resist putting him in there for a picture.

I saved the best picture of him for last - this makes me laugh every time I see it! He is such a ham, and knows just how to entertain the camera =)

Hope you enjoyed the few pictures I had, I can hardly believe he is going to be 17 months old soon. Less than a month and a half until he can go to nursery at church - it will be so nice to be able to listen to the lessons again =)

PiCtUrEs!

These are pictures from the listing on the internet so it features the seller's furniture and such, but I am too excited to wait and take my own pictures =)

This is the front of the house, I am so stoked about the fenced front yard! Eventually I think we will change the fence to a lower, wooden, brick or metal fence, but for now this is great!

This is the living room (the walls will be painted right away, orange isn't my color ha ha).

This is the kitchen and dining room (and the door leading to the backyard).
Here is the lovely backyard! On each side of the house there is a large cement patio. Those are definitely going to come in handy for bbq's and working on Nick's dirt bikes =)
This is going to be Jayson's bedroom, which is across from the master bedroom. There is also going to be an office/guest room, but there isn't a picture of it.

This is the master bedroom, not big, but if Jayson stays on this 'no sleeping' kick, there is no need for a bedroom big enough for two ha ha.

And this is the master bathroom. There is a hall/guest bathroom but again, no pictures of it.

I will put pictures up as we get it painted and everything gets moved in and decorated in 'Nick and Tiffany' style =)
Oh and it is official, our closing date is May 19th!

Finally, an update!

Hi all, it has been a very long time since our last blog, but I am trying to do better, I promise!
We have some fun and exciting news.... we are buying a house!!! Nick and I put an offer on a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house last week and the offer was accepted just 2 days after we put the offer in.
This house is just beautiful, small but beautiful, and has a very decent sized backyard. The front yard is a nice size as well and it is even fenced in! That will make it so much nicer to play with Jayson outside because he likes to run away! There is no carpet, just tile and wood laminate flooring, which is nice for our allergies, but now we will have to buy a rug so Jayson has a softer place to roll around on =)
We are supposed to close on May 19th and I will get pictures up as soon as we get the keys =)

As for us peoples, Nick is still working at Sonora Nissan as a Service Advisor. I would say he loves it... but that would be a lie. He is enduring it for now, eager for us to finally be in a place of our own, until he can get a job elsewhere that will be less stressful and pay the same, or hopefully more. He is working very hard for us to get where we want to be and I love him very much for that =)
Jayson is a ball of energy that never sleeps! He keeps me up til the wee hours of the morning and only sleeps for a few hours at a time, most the time not napping during the day. It is getting very stressful, so I can not wait until we are in our house and I can get him on a schedule without keeping everyone else in the house up. Other than not sleeping, Jayson loves to be outside, he would live out there if we let him! He is going to have a blast in the summer when we get the kiddie pool out and can splish and splash all he wants. He tries relentlessly to splash in the tub and gets so mad when I stop his hands. I think he was meant to be born a fish =)
And me, well I am just a stay at home mommy right now, but when Jayson's sleep schedule gets better I hope to get just a part time job so we have a little extra income to put aside as savings or use for Emergency Preparedness/Food Storage. I haven't been much of a homemaker while living with my parents until we get into our house. It's too hard fighting for the kitchen lol. All the homemakers will probably call me crazy for saying this, but I am exciting to make meals for my family, clean up after them and organize our home =)

Jayson =)

Well I have been lectured for not having any pictures of Jayson up yet so I managed to get a couple on here and I finally learned how to actually post them so here they are!

Here is Jayson being wide awake and following the camera (he was quite fascinated with it!)

I was taking a picture of him in this onesie to send to his Aunt Erica, who had bought it for him, and he was trying so hard to focus on his hands that it made him cross-eyed hahaha! It was just way too cute and hilarious to not put on here.
I will try to get more up soon, but as you have already noticed, I am a bit slow at all this. Have a good day all!!

Gall bladder surgery update

Well I had stones in my gall bladder (ick)! They had me go back to the hospital about a week ago for an endoscopy into my liver to make sure there weren't any stones that had tried to pass from my gall bladder. Good news, there weren't any! I only have two more follow-up appointments and then I am done with all this. The best part is no more hospital visits! At least not for this... I pray nothing else happens that may send me, Nick or Jayson back there. The smell alone is enough to send me running - blah! Oh, when I went in for my follow-up after the gall bladder surgery, the doctor gave me a little container (normally used for urine samples) that had 'my stones' in it she had taken from my gall bladder - totally grosss! She told me to take it home and show it off, now I don't know what to do with it. Do you keep that sort of thing?? Oh well, it will find it's way to the trash eventually I assume. Any ways, well Jayson is doing well. He is growing like a weed, fortunately a very cute weed =) Nick and I are thoroughly enjoying being parents and love him to pieces! Thank you every one for your well wishes and congratulations, it is appreciated as always. Love you all!

Jayson Robert Blank is here!

Hello dear family and friends! Nick and I are ecstatic to announce that Jayson is finally here. Jayson Robert Blank was born on December 27, 2008 at 8:49 am. He weighed 7lb. 4 oz. and measured 19 3/4" long. He is healthy and such a good baby! I was able to have him vaginally with an epidural. With out it I think I would have died! I am just happy I didn't have a c-section. It can really limit the number of children you can have and I want to have as many as my body and our bank account can handle =) I was induced early because of complications from pre-eclampsia (or at least that's what they thought was the cause). On December 26th around 2pm I went to triage to get checked out because I was having really bad pain under my rib cage which is normally a symptom of the above mentioned condition. They noted my blood pressure which was in the 140's over 80's and also found out through blood work that my liver enzymes were high and another count was low (I can't recall what the other count was). They monitored me until about 6 pm before they were given the ok by my doctor and midwife to go ahead and induce me. They broke my water around 3 am and Jayson was born almost 6 hours later. Well two days after being released from the hospital, the pain under my rib cage returned and this time it was not going away on it's own like the previous time. I called my midwife and she told me to go to the ER and ask them to do an ultrasound on my gall bladder. I did just that and the following morning I was taken to surgery to have my gall bladder removed. I stayed one more day and then they finally released me. Nick and I had to leave Jayson with my family during my three day stay and it was so hard! I cried most the time, even after returning home and having him back I was still emotional about it all. Having to leave your son after only having him two days prior is so hard! So needless to say, Jayson's coming has been a rollercoaster, but Nick and I are just happy he is healthy. He is such a joy and a blessing, we couldn't have asked for a better son =)

37 weeks!

Hello again everyone! I have more good news from my appointment today. I am dilated 2-3 cm and I am now 80% effaced!! How awesome is that?! My midwife told me if I keep walking and bouncing on my little ball that I will probably have him this week! I'm not so convinced he will come that soon, but I definitely think he will be here before his due date of January 6th. I'm just annoyed that he is due so close to Christmas. Every friend I have had that had a birthday this close to Christmas has hated it! I will try my hardest though to separate the two occasions for him. I want him to know that his birth is special too, just like Christ's, but obviously in different ways. Anywho... So my assignment from the midwife is to walk and bounce like I've never walked or bounced before! Ha ha ha... Oh also, she noticed my face was a little puffy today and my blood pressure was a little high. She told me to go straight to labor and delivery if the puffiness continues or gets worse. Or if I get a headache that won't go away with Tylenol. Other than that, everything else is good and baby is healthy and is heartbeat is strong! I will keep everyone posted this week on any happenings =)
