30 weeks!

At my last appointment, I was told that Jayson was breach. I had an appointment again today and my midwife did an ultrasound and said that his head is down! So he is no longer breach - YAY! She measured him and said that he is growing right along schedule. He is now between 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. Which means if I make it to 40 weeks (full term), he will be between 7 and 7 1/2 lbs. I was relieved to hear that! Even before I starting dating I was always worried about how big my babies would be when I started a family. Hahaha... He has been super active, kicking and tumbling all around. It can hurt sometimes since he is getting bigger, but I love that I can feel him all the time now. It is the greatest feeling! At least for now that is, I'm sure finally seeing his little face and holding him for the first time will be even greater! I can't wait!!!!
This last week was pretty productive for me, I pre-registered at the hospital so I don't have to worry about filling out paperwork while I am in labor and I also got my rhogam shot because of my weird bloodtype. It's nice to finally have those out of the way. Next up is my baby shower on the 1st of November!! I am excited for that because I'm hoping it will help me feel a little bit more prepared. I have been so worried that I won't have anything ready for the baby. Right now I just have a crib (with no mattress) that is storing a few packs of diapers and some clothes. But this baby shower should help fill the gaps!

28 weeks!

I had another appointment last week and everything was great. I now have my appointments every two weeks instead of 4. I was instructed to start doing the fetal kick counts each day and that has been going well too. He is quite an active little boy, so I only have to count for a couple minutes, which is so much better than having to lie still for 2 hours! I am getting quite a few braxton hicks contractions now, but not enough to be concerned about. My midwife told me if I have more than 4 in an hour then I need to drink 32 oz. of water and lie down for an hour. If they still continue after that, then I will need to go to labor and delivery. So far I haven't had to do that, phew! I am officially 7 months now and it's becoming more and more real that Nick and I are going to be parents quite soon. I can not wait! I am very eager to have him here with us every day to watch him grow. Nick is just as excited! He has become so comfortable with my newest neice, Claire, so I know he will take quickly to his own son and be able to jump right into the Father mode. I think changing diapers will be his only challenge hahaha... Oh and I DO NOT have gestational diabetes (thank goodness)! I had to ask at this last appointment because they never called, and my test was negative! I am still watching my sugar intake though. I don't want to risk anything.
